When you build up an apprentice wall, it doesnt get built where you first intended to, it moves backward and it become more difficult to place them correctly. Tried it on both console and pc and both have this bug.

As shown in screenshot, Apprentice Flamethrower Tower Gambit Ascension tooltip does not fit into the box and gets cut off. Gambit Ascension tooltips for Abyss Lord, Squire, Monk, Huntress, and EV-2 confirmed fit properly.
